Hello! Welcome to my small business;
Artfully Expected Fine Arts was born from two of my greatest passions: photography and horses, and from the memory of one extraordinary horse who changed my life forever.
The name is a tribute to my heart horse, Not What I Expected, known to me as Sully. His name came from his pedigree, with his grandsire being Artful Move and his sire Just Expect It. I had the privilege of calling Sully mine for eight of his nine years, and in that time he became the truest definition of a heart horse. His sudden passing in February 2025 was devastating, but his spirit and the lessons he taught me continue to inspire my work every day.
As a lifelong equestrian, I understand the bond between horse and rider, from the subtle glances and moments of trust to the shared victories and quiet companionship. I bring that understanding into every session, whether I am capturing the energy of the show ring or the timeless elegance of a black background portrait.
I have had a camera in my hands from a very young age, as early as three years old. What began as a simple fascination with pressing the shutter and seeing the world through a lens quickly grew into a lifelong passion. I have always been drawn to the outdoors, where I could spend hours exploring and photographing many of nature’s beauties. From the colors of a summer sunset to the delicate details of wildflowers and the fleeting presence of wildlife, I find inspiration in capturing moments that might otherwise go unnoticed. Photography allows me to freeze those moments in time, preserving the beauty, emotion, and story they hold.
Through Artfully Expected Fine Arts, I aim to preserve the moments that matter most, the ones you will look back on and feel all over again. Just like Sully, the best memories are often the ones you never expected.
